Milton Keynes Borough – Past Population and Projections to 2026 ( PE097 ) : Urban Area

This table shows what the population of Milton Keynes will look like at the end of June each year to 2026, if forecast dwellings are completed as anticipated. The figures are broken down for the urban and rural areas as well as for the whole of the Borough. The figures have been taken from the Population Bulletin 2013/14. Please note that the forecasts are consistent with the 2011 Census results. The rural area is defined as: Danesborough Ward (excluding Stantonbury Park and Redhouse Park), Hanslope Ward, Newport Pagnell, Olney Ward and Sherington Ward The Urban area is defined as: Bradwell, Bletchley and Fenny Stratford, Campbell Park, Denbigh, Eaton Manor, Emerson Valley, Furzton, Linford North, Linford South, Loughton Park, Middleton, Stantonbury, Stony Stratford, Walton Park, Whaddon, Wolverton and Woughton Wards and Oakridge Park and Redhouse Park. This set of projections reflects only one possible scenario. If assumptions about migration, fertility or mortality are not fulfilled, the future structure and size of the population could be different. Also if house building completion rates are higher or lower than option 2 this will have a particular impact on the level of migration and the aging of the population.
