The Social Atlas is a key tool bringing together a wide range of social and economic indicators that give a quantitative description of all estates across Milton Keynes. It provides an up-to-date snap shot of how things are now and gives some indication of what has changed, establishing benchmarks and providing focus for resources and effort over the next 12 months. In doing so it has become a ‘must have’ essential resource for anyone who wants to understand the fabric of Milton Keynes and the issues faced by communities in different parts of the city.
Social Atlas data includes Housing/Council Tax Benefits, Family Referrals, Free School Meals, Children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), Educational attainment, Teenage Conceptions, Not Receiving Student Awards (1824), Old People Clients of Neighbourhood services, Domestic Fires, Neighbour complaints, Social Rented Housing, Crime, Disabled Concessionary Fares, Disabled Clients of Neighbourhood Services, ACE clients, and hospital admissions.
